Susan Repko

I don’t just work in North Carolina’s High Country — I live here, love it here, and truly understand what makes this mountain community so special. From Boone and Blowing Rock to Banner Elk and the surrounding areas, I appreciate the unique charm, lifestyle, and sense of community that draw people here.

Originally from the small mountain town of Pawling, New York, I grew up appreciating the beauty and character of mountain living while being just a few hours from New York City — much like the High Country’s convenient access to Charlotte and Raleigh for weekend getaways. That balance of peaceful mountain living with nearby city amenities is something I’ve always valued and what first connected me to this area.

I attended Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and moved south over 35 years ago. Since then, North Carolina has truly become home. My husband and I share our home with our six dogs and enjoy everything mountain life has to offer — from the natural beauty and changing seasons to the welcoming small-town atmosphere that makes this area unlike anywhere else.
